BOMB Shell Monday: The Exciting Future Ahead!
BOMBERS & PEGGERS:
It’s time for the next chapter. BOMB has been a crazy, fun and amazing experience. As I mentioned a few weeks back –Running OG BOMB was some of the most fun I’ve had in my life. I was able to accomplish what I did with the help of amazing team members and an incredibly supportive community.
I hope the seigniorage protocols can become healthy. At the same time, I also feel that perhaps seigniorage protocols are not the best way to position for the next bull run. My goals are the same now as they have always been — to facilitate as best I can for our users, our community, our supporters, to have a lucrative and safe DeFi experience! In lesser words, I want everyone to be able to get their Lambo!
What’s Next?
I’ve begun working on a new project, one that will revolutionize sports + crypto, combining the two like they have never been before and creating a first-of-its-kind utility for NFT’s.
The project and all details will be announced soon, I don’t want to spoil anything before the official release!
I will say this — the project has the potential to make OG BOMB at its peak (roughly 40M TVL), look very small in comparison. The only competitor, another protocol doing something slightly similar with a much inferior offering, has a market cap of approx. 800M.
I’m super excited to be working on something fresh, and trust that once the project is revealed, that excitement will be spread throughout the communities!
How Does This Impact BOMB Ecosystem?
The new project will not be a part of the BOMB ecosystem as it is unrelated as well as under different management. I will be working as Lead Developer and Chief Technology Officer at the new company.
This allows me to spend my time doing what I love, and great things happen when I am doing what I love!
Wait a Second, What about BOMB / PegHub?
I care deeply for all PHUB holders who believed in myself, the BOMB team, and our ability to succeed. I want to make things right for everyone who took the advice I gave when saying “If you want your interests aligned with me, just hold PHUB”. I am not required to do this, but I am going to use a big chunk of my team allocation from the new project and direct it for PHUB buybacks just as the share tokens are used.
The amount that will be directed to PHUB buybacks will equal exactly 1% of the total supply in the new project — this is a significant piece of my team allocation. This 1% can only be used as it is released to me via my vesting schedule. 5% of the total will be available immediately, the remainder will vest over the course of three years. This means, as I’ve always envisioned and hoped for, continuous buybacks of the PHUB token!
And BOMB + BOMB Chain?
I hate to sound like a broken record, but BOMB will always be very special to me. I do have plans (very vague at this moment) for a new and improved BOMB Chain in the future. For now, let’s talk about the current ANKR created BOMB Chain and where it stands, and what its future looks like.
ANKR will be shutting down services on Tuesday, July 18. This should not impact any BOMB Chain users, except for the fact that the ANKR-powered bridge will no longer be operational. We have taken all steps to not rely on ANKR infrastructure for the chain itself. We are running our own validators, nodes, block explorer, etc.
There will be an announcement once a solution is finalized related to bridging assets that were previously only bridgeable on the ANKR bridge. Stay tuned!
WEN new project?
I’ll be able to share every detail about the new project by the end of this week including the whitepaper (where you guys can check out why I’m so excited about this project), and details on how you can get involved before the public knows about it. I love this community so much and would be thrilled if you guys came along for the ride on the new project — even if just to say hi and follow along.
Of course, if you just want to hodl PHUB and enjoy the auto buybacks from the new project’s allocation, that should be a great option for you as well.
Based dev,
Aaron
