Harry’s announcement regarding his Warpath rant for Tomb Forks and explain how this will or won’t affect Bomb. Do you have any license issues regarding our MIT license and him revoking access to it? Have you been in touch with Harry? Okay, so is bombing any danger?

Bomb friends!

It is Aaron Shames here, CEO of Bomb Money👋

I mentioned that I would share a medium blog regarding the Feb 2 Bomb live stream and the comments by Harry Yeh. At this point there are over 87 forks of Tomb finance and you can understand how Harry could be skeptical of projects forking Tomb for their own benefit. However web 3 is all about open source and we are in no way concerned about Harry maliciously coming for us. In fact, as Harry has been exploring the forks of Tomb he has even been finding opportunities for partnerships. As developers, we always have the ability to fork each other’s code, put our own spin on it, to inspire the participants and the free market to choose their favorites.

There is no way to “drain the swamp of smart contracts/projects” that have been added to the blockchain already. So there are few things Harry can say or do that would negatively affect Bomb. When you have open source code with an MIT license, you can’t one day magically decide that, hey, this is no longer something that people are able to use like it was released under that MIT license. You can’t one day magically decide that, hey, this is no longer something that people are able to use like it was released under that MIT license. And if you’re using it within the constraints of that license, I don’t see how that would be an issue at all.

Bomb isn’t in danger in terms of what Harry mentioned, we are honored to have found the Tomb project in the first place and we are honored to be building alongside the project.

- Bomb money is doing good things for the community and we have real use cases.

- Bomb money is built on the BSC and is pegged to the value of BTC.

Whether Tomb has good intentions or not, I really don’t see him coming out with any kind of certification program or anything like that. That would certify us as an official fork. So if they’re not going to officially endorse us and say that, “hey, we’re a certified fork”, then there’s really no point in reaching out to them with an email with any information.

I’d just like to remind everyone that Bomb Money is based upon the work of the brilliant tomb.finance project on the Fantom network. At the time, it was hard to believe that nothing similar existed on any other larger networks, so it was a great opportunity to bring an amazingly stable and robust DeFi protocol like tomb.finance with a few unique twists to the masses. As far as networks go, Binance Smart Chain (BSC) seemed like the perfect choice with its fast transaction speeds, low gas fees, and much larger user base, so one thing led to another and now here we are! This project would certainly not be possible without the work of the tomb.finance team. Their project being fully open source and developed exceptionally well made it a pleasure to work with, and we would not be here today without their efforts, so we want to give a special thank you to them for that.
